Ombuds will consult with individuals or groups.
You are welcome to come and talk in confidence about any concerns related to UCSB, no matter how large or small. We will listen to your issues and help you brainstorm possible options. You decide how to move forward - if at all. Our services are free and voluntary as well as confidential and off the record.
Please call us at (805) 893-3285 to schedule an appointment. You may make a telephone appointment or meet with us in person. Appointments are available 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday and at other times as needed.
Consulting with the Office of the Ombuds is completely voluntary. All members of the University community have the right to speak with the Office. Retaliation for exercising that right will not be tolerated.
Before Your Appointment
You may find it helpful to write out your specific issues, as well as your expectations, before you meet with an ombuds. Feel free to download an outline here (pdf) if you feel that it would help you collect your thoughts before your appointment.
